A Training Programme on Cocoa Processing and Chocolate Making was organized on 17 March 2026 at KCAEFT, Tavanur, under the aegis of AICRP on PHET with financial support from the Directorate of Cashewnut and Cocoa Development, Government of India. The programme attracted 20 participants and featured practical exposure to cocoa value addition technologies and chocolate preparation techniques. Dr. Vithu Prabha welcomed the gathering, while the programme was inaugurated by Dr. Jayan P. R. Felicitations were delivered by Dr. Prince M. V. and the vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Rajesh G. K. Dr. Hima John, Scientist, ICAR-CPCRI, Kasargod, served as the resource person and led sessions on cocoa processing technologies and chocolate preparation. A major highlight of the programme was the demonstration of a gender-friendly mechanical cocoa processing line developed under AICRP on PHET, along with hands-on preparation of chocolates, enrobed cookies, cakes, and cocoa butter.
